Foods to avoid when treating H Pulori

Hi all, I am planning on commencing my first round of triple therapy to (hopefully) eradicate my H Pylori soon and I have read that it is beneficial to avoid sugar and carbs while I am on my triple therapy, can anyone tell me if there is any truth to this? Also I am really worried about what effect the triple therapy is going to have on me so I am planning on preparing my body for a few weeks beforehand by using a highly potent probiotic capsule, drinking Yakult (fermented milk) and eating a high probiotic yoghurt each day. Does anyone have any other dietary tips that helped them before and/or during therapy that they can recommend?

There is no specific guideline what to take or avoid together with triple therapy. However, if you are taking metronidazole, you are advised to avoid alcohol. In addition, some articles did mention that taking probiotics together with triple therapy can boost the cure rate and lower the side effects. I see there is no harm trying the probiotics.

Lastly, never heard of avoiding sugar and carbs while taking triple therapy.
