Did anyone recover fully??

Post by Jonnzambrano »

Has anyone diagnosed with h pylori been fully recovered after meds how long will it take? Will you ever go back to normal?? I'm 19 years old and I'm so depressed I have this. Before I would be able to eat whatever I want and be fine. I can eat large amounts of food and be okay. Or eat junk food and feel perfectly fine. Has anyone ever fully recovered from this?

Of course, many people have fully recovered. What is important is to check that the bacteria has been completely eradicated after treatment. Once the bacteria is gone, it will take some time for your stomach to recover, sometimes months. But since you are young I wouldn't worry too much. We think that a healthy diet can help to recover faster. It is good in your everyday life anyway. And stay positive.

Thanks helico scientist. To be honest I was just so depressed from having this infection. Since it's my first time I don't know what to think. But you're right. Do you have any suggestions on what foods to avoid?

Difficult to say. Of course I would avoid too much alcool and very spicy or greasy food. The most important really is to eat a bit of everything. I have heard broccoli is good and has some antibacterial effect. Good luck and don't forget to do a test soon to check the bacteria has been eradicated properly.
