Pylera qaudruple therapy pain

The cure of Hp usually requires antibiotics. Other things have been tried and have a weaker effect.

Pylera qaudruple therapy pain

Post by DNP »

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago by endoscopy with h pylori and put on the drug pylera for 10 days as well as a prilosec
The first 3 days I felt a bit weak but were ok; 4th day is when my entire body started aching, the worst side effect is a stabbing pain in my right chest after taking a dose. I also have had shooting back pains

Around day 7 it was so bad I visited the gastroenterologist he took some blood and said stick the course out, haven't got results from the blood test yet. He tells me that half of his patients get side effects; he didn't stipulate what

I am on day 10 of the treatment I have 3 doses left and I think I am going to stop because the last dose I took brought thre floor with pain in my right upper abdominal/chest. It was 10 out of 10 pain I have never felt

I am 29 year old male and am healthy. I have never had any problems with medication, is it normal for this treatment to cause this amount of pain? Or am I stuffing up my liver or something?

The list of side effect from the antibiotics can be very long. Everyone responded slightly different to the antibiotics. However, the common ones include headache, nausea, diarrhea, loose stool, lost of appetite, lost of energy, stomach pain, and etc. To most people, the side effects are minor. But to some people, they can experience some nasty side effects.

The problem is, if you stop the antibiotic treatment early, there is chance of creating antibiotic resistant strains. Then you'll need stronger antibiotics in the future which means stronger side effects. So, I do recommend you try to finish the whole course if possible.

Then again, 10 days treatment is pretty good. Many people were given a 10 days treatment and claim to have the cure rate as 14 days.

Thank you for the reply! I stopped 3 dosages short as I was in immense pain, yesterday and am feeling better today. So weird because I have never had reactions to antibiotics like that, I am beginning to think it may have been the prilosec. I am not sure.

During my course around day 7 because I was in pain, I had an ultrasound and blood tests conducted and it noted that I had an enlarged spleen 15cm in its greatest dimension. My blood work was normal. 15cmis quite large but for my height over 200cm I believe it is larger than the mean but on the higher end

That may have been causing the trouble, that being said I am going to get it checked out.

I also came across the below paper http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1 ... .20496/pdf Helicobacter pylori Infection is Probably the Cause of Chronic Idiopathic Neutropenia (CIN)-Associated Splenomegaly

Do you know of any other studies in to the spleen and h pylori? My biggest complaint when I came down with the Pylori bug was constant chest pressure or pain, I thought that I was having some sort of heart attack which was cleared
