Tried all antibiotics available in us..now what?

Hello everyone...
I have tried every antibiotic available in the US for h pylori but no success. I had severe gastritis shown in endoscopy.
First treatment was amoxcillin rifampin tetracyclin pepto bismol and pepcid for a month, that treatment failed so GI said to take it for another month but failed.

Third time was tetracycline flagyl pepto and pepcid for another month, but that one failed. Another endoscopy was done and shown the inflammation reduced about 70% but still had symptoms.

The fourth treatment was amoxcillin clarithromycin and protonix for another month. This treatment seemed to have helped the most, for about two months I had no symptoms but then now they have returned. So I did a blood and breath test that came out positive.

I printed out all the treatment options on this site and gave it to my GI, I mentioned ciproflaxin to be tried next but my GI told me that ciproflaxin doesn't work well for h pylori. My next appt isn't for a while.

Now what?

blood test is useless now. so dont do blood test again.

i suggest you do endoscopy and get the biopsy to culture. then ask for antibiotic sensitivity test to find out exactly what antibiotic should be used. that will save you time trying again and again.

Thank you for your reply Helico_expert.... the biopsy taken both times I did the endscopy came out negative so my GI was unable to test for antibiotic sensitivity. However, both breath tests and culture tests after treatment came out positive. I've taken all antibiotics twice already in different tripple and quadruple therapies so I think it might be resistent to all of them already?

culture positive means.. they able to get bacteria?
then able to do antibiotic sensitivity test?

it is possible that they are resistant to standard therapy. Unfortunately the only way to find out is via antibiotic sensitivity test. Alternative antibiotics are tetracycline and rifabutin. you may discuss that with your GP.
