H pylori and what to eat

Hey everyone!

I was diagnosed with H pylori Saturday and am on amoxicillin, lansoprazole and clarithromycin twice daily. Yesterday I noticed the roof of my mouth is yellow and have a white film on my tongue and having issues swallowing so the dr called me in some mouth wash for thrush that I have to use 4 times a day. Would love to hear from others what you were actually able to eat without it bothering you? Was feeling good during the day yesterday but ate some Mac and cheese for supper and was up most of the night with my stomach/chest burning and burping continuously even with taking Tums Ugh so tired of all of this. This is my second week out of work because I am so lightheaded. Anyone else feel decent during the day but when it gets later you start having issues?

You can probably have some probiotics to replenish the lost of good bacteria during antibiotic treatment.

I forgot to mention I am taking a probiotic too per the dr’s suggestion.

Then you are doing the right thing.
let's wait a few more days and see how it goes.
this is only your 2nd-3rd day?
The side effect usually kicks in about now. If it is not too terrible, try to complete the treatment.

Today is day 5 of treatment for h pylori and only the 2nd day of the mouthwash for thrush. Having a heck of a time trying to figure out what I can eat without it bothering me. Ate an ice cream today and it’s bothered me all day

5th day... you are doing very well.
keep up the good work.

try drink some mint tea to calm the symptoms.
