The various unpleasant manifestations of Helicobacter can be described here. Remember however that the great majority of persons with Hp have no symptoms that they are aware of and consider themselves normal.
What are the odds that the urea breath test can produce a false negative. Yesterday I had woken up smelling the dreaded ammonia smell that I could smell everyday prior to having been cured and also I’m feeling nauseous again but no pain as Ive felt before.
I have a follow up appointment with my gastroenterologist in about a month. I’m still concerned about the possibility that I may still have h pylori present and will ask about another breath test but I’m also looking for other tests I could possibly ask him to do. I’m still losing muscle mass all over my body which leads me to believe that it has something to do with how my body is absorbing what I eat. I read that ammonia produced by the bacteria could effect the ph of our stomach acid. Is that true? And if so what kind of test could I take to ensure what ph my stomach acid is at? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The ammonia smell is still present from time to time so I’m afraid.
