H.pylori Prevpac and Multivitamins

I would like to thank you for this forum really help me and encourage me to start my prevpac which is Amoxicilin 1g 2x a day, Clarithromcyin 500 x2 a day and Omeprezole 20 x2 day one when I woke up and one before dinner every 12 hours.


First off, on 2013.07.11 I got a feeling of hunger for past week or so and within a week of hunger feeling I vomit just once which was black as coffee very low amount, but with highest panic attack I ever have, then I went to ER and they give me a IV and got a fever and very bloating I feel that my stomach will blow up, anyway after the ER couple days I went to a specialist DR who give me Nexium 40 for 14 day which give me a Nausea feeling every day as a side effect and my hands and foots were sweat lot, then I change it to omeprazole 20 with no side effect at all, after that within a month I have done Gastroscopy which it show a that I have Stomach ulcer, gastritis and a duodenum ulcer. just a note I don't drink.




furthermore, my DR give me Omeprazole 20, Ganton (for nausea) and healthy enzyme for 10 month then I have done anther gastroscopy, which show nothing in my stomach all ulcer are healed, so I stop taking omeprazole for 1 month then I have done a breath test showing that I have 27.1> H pylori, I search for natural treatment for it and find out a bout mastic gum and DGL so I took it for 3.5 months and re test which showed that I still have h.pylori.



Finally, I start prevpac just took the 4 round today I encourage who are a fried like me before to took the prevpac things that help me at the moment is after I took my antibiotic I drink 1 litre of water and then walk for 30 min and more which ease my anxiety.


I just have one question that I would like anyone have info about:

Can I take B-12 while am on prevpac and multivitamins.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's normal to have the metalic taste in your mouth, especially when you are taking clarithromycin. However, you should not be taking the same antibiotics which failed your first treatment. But since you already started, you should finish it. I doubt it will work. But, please prove me wrong by doing another breath test a month later.

It's ok for you to take other vitamin supplement in the same time.
