H Pylori cause 84 Symptoms?

Hey guys,

In October I received a Negative stool test for H-Pylori from my GP

Today, I received a positive test result for H-Pylori via a biopsy from my Endoscopy that I had last month!

I have been very unwell, and just wondered if many of my symptoms I have endured this past half a damn year, could be related. I thankfully have a blog, which I will post here to save time, feel free to take a look, and let me know what symptoms we share, that you think are related to your H-Pylori diagnosis! You have a very detail blog. interesting read.

If you did not take anything special in between october and the day you did endoscopy, I would trust the endoscopy result. Did you specialist discuss with you how he want to treat your H. pylori?

NO, he just referred me back to my GP, saying my GP had been faxed that I have the infection. My GP had no IDEA.

My treatment for the next week:

Clarithromycin 250mg twice a day
Metronidazole 400mg twice a day
Lansoprazole 30mg twice a day

The last time I took Lansoprazole was 13th September ~ 20th October I had my stool test with the GP which was a false negative, and, 18th December had my Colonoscopy & Endoscopy!

Hi there again,

OK, in brief:

Gaviscon advance early June until early July (Stopped due to Burning, depapillated, red front portion of tongue that started 27th June and ongoing) ~ Early August other areas of tongue depapillate, grow larger, heal, then repeat.

Late July started feeling unwell

24th August until 13th September 30mg daily of Lansoprazole with NO antibiotics, giving the undiagnosed H-Pylori a great chance to severely proliferate!!

16th September onwards fall grotesquely unwell with all the symptoms you read in my blog!

Clarithromycin 250mg
Metronidazole 400mg
Lansoprazole 15mg

Started tonight, already feeling more myself, unless that feeling is Psychological. Will take the above medication twice daily.

sounds right. Do keep us updated with your treatment outcome.

in terms of stool antigen test, there are reports saying acid reducing drugs may affect the outcome. You were probably taking lansoprazole at that time which leads to the false negative result.

Nope, wasn't taking Lansoprazole. Hadn't taken any for over 5 weeks. My GP said you cannot have the test if you have taken any in the past 2 weeks. Well, 5 is obviously greater than 2!

What do you think on my time scale of events?

please bare in mind that i can only comment your your H. pylori infection and treatment. However, the treatment does sometimes cross react with other unknown diseases and cured them. For example, there are some skin diseases (rashes) that cannot be treated. After a course of triple therapy, the rashes are cured. for once, they actually think that H. pylori is related to skin disease. But it is actually unknown bacteria that is causing the rashes and they were treated by the triple therapy.

Anyway, for your case, I think you understand the concept of the diagnostic and treatment. As long as you finish the course of treatment, then get a follow up breath test (or endoscopy) one month later, you'll know if your H. pylori is eradicated.

Does this sound like H Pylori?

I was diagnosed with H pylori at the age of 26 after suffering with acid reflux. I did 2 rounds of antibiotics.

I didn't feel any better.

For 15 years I have had HORRIBLE hypoglycemia symptoms with normal low blood sugar. I have to force feed myself 2 pounds of meat a day, in addiction to other foods, in order to not feel gnawing hunger, heart palps, tremors, dizziness, anxiety, etc. It gets better when I eat, but sometimes it can take 2000 calories to calm down.

4 years ago I was diagnosed with mercury poisoning. After 70 rounds of chelation, my health, including the constant hunger dramatically improved.

Last year i added valtrex for epstein barr. Over the last year my health and blood sugar problems have deteriorated. Sometimes I can';t leave the house because I have to be around food. I feel like all I do is eat. If i don't, I feel like I'm going to pass out. Taking any kind of vitamin or supplement makes it much worse.

Can anyone figure this out?

from my understanding, H. pylori is not associated with blood glucose level. Half the world population is infected and if it is true that H. pylori cause hypoglycemia, then many will be affected.
