Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
When is your endoscopy? My dizziness is bothering me a lot.
Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
August 27. Yesterday and today Ive had some sensations in my chest again. It just comes and goes now day by day. Im really a bit baffled I just dont know what it is or what is causing it. Its mild, but annoying. I used to never have these issues. Something changed back when all this started and it changed fast, and I just dont know what it is. I dont feel that Im having any acid reflux. Im about tired of even trying to figure it out now. Hopefully the endoscopy will give some answers.
Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
Having some actual stomach issues now that have seemingly come out of no where. Stomach pain and discomfort, and pain on my right side, right below the edge of my ribs, almost feels like cramping. I came off the probiotics 2 days ago when I started having some issues again, so Im not taking anything right now. I figure Id try to stop injesting all pills and see if my body could regulate a little without throwing different pills at it all the time. Im also having very loose stool right now for the first time. I dont know whats going on with my body anymore, so Ive stopped trying to figure it out. I can only read so much. Its so wierd because this past weekend and late last week I had about 3 days there where I felt completely normal, in great condition, and then this just fires up out of no where. I cant pin it to anything Ive done or ate. Ive been staying off of coffee and carbonated drinks. Im drinking mostly Powerade or like canned Hawaiian punch or something. This is beyond old at this point. I just want to feel normal again.

Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
Any changes in the appetite? Do you have any associated nausea? Are you able to eat as much as you could? May be due to something that you ate/drank not handled properly? The other day I had a carbonated drink during lunch and coffee in the evening (both after more than 2 months) and from yesterday on-wards, I am having this slight nauseous feeling. Just hang in there and give it couple of days to settle down.
Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
Yes my apetite has been pretty steady. Some very minor nausea the last few days, usually first thing in the morning when I'm taking a shower, but it seems to go away once I get moving around good. It just seems some days I will be achy and have discomfort, and then Ill hit stretches where I feel good again. Like this morning, I feel as though I may be starting to improve again. Yesterday though I had a wierd chest pain where even when I laughed it would hurt. That pain is now mostly gone this morning. Im not going to find out what this is without some tests of some kind. Maybe endoscopy will give me a clue. Ive been doing really good to keep my anxiety out of the equation this time, and that has helped a lot. Ive sort of convinced myself at this point that it cant be anything like cancer because it goes and comes too often. I would think think if it was something like esophogean cancer as I feared before, it would just get progressively worse rather than coming and going. This could just be plain ol' acid reflux

Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
Hey, Ive been doing fairly well the last several days. As I said in my last post I felt that the minor pain was starting to go away again and it did indeed...Just as it did last weekend. Over the weekend I felt great, and thankfully Its stuck a little longer this this time. I still have a slight feeling in my chest that I cant really explain, but its not really painful or anything, and I only notice it if I concentrate on it. Ive begun drinking about 6 ounces of Aloe Juice per day. It is claimed to help heal ulcer's or sores in the stomach and esophogus. I feel like what Ive been experiencing is some irritation or a sore in the esophagus that keeps getting aggravated. I don't know for certain though, because the pain at times has felt like it moved around, even out into my breast area at times. Ive also wondered if this could be a pinched nerve or something. I cant complain right now though, as Im doing pretty good now for 5 days in a row. My Pre Op for my endoscopy is today, so Ill be heading out for that in a couple hours here. Endoscopy is now 1 week away, and I should find something out finally. How is your dizziness stuff? I assume youre over and moved on from the stomach issues youve had eh?
If Helico_Expert is still following this thread Id like to know what your thoughts are on the endoscopy to test for H. Pylori eradication. I know its not mentioned as much because an Endoscopy is much more invasive and costly than a simple breathe test, but since I am udnergoing the endoscopy anyways they will be checking for H. Pylori eradication as well as investigating the source of the pain ive had. My concern, and maybe something you can speak to, is that if H. Pylori is still in my stomach but has been drastically reduced due to treatment, then what are the odds that an endoscopy could miss it? The scope will pull biopsies from parts of the stomach, but when youre only sampling a few small areas in the stomach it seems to me that it could be easily missed if perhaps just a few strings of it remain in the stomach. The guy who scheduled me to have the endoscopy at the gastro's office said that endoscopy is the "gold standard" for H. Pylori eradication testing, and I have read that it is very accurate, but I do wonder how easily it could be to miss with a scope. Do you feel that endoscopy testing for eradication is very accurate? How would you compare its accuracy to a breath test? Should I talk to my gastro about having a breath test in addition to the endoscopy? Or, if Endoscopy shows no signs of H. Pylori should I trust that test by itself and consider myself cured?

Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
That is good progress. My dizziness is gone. Its been almost a week now. The stomach issues also are gone except mild nausea once in a while, may be due to spicy/sour foods.
I have a swollen lymph node in my right throat , has been there from few years, its kind of bothering now, so trying to get an ENT appointment. The doctor said I have crowded teeth and one of the tooth fillings came off, so he said may be due to that. But better to see an ENT I guess. Will the aloe vera help this? Any thoughts??

Re: Just started H. Pylori Treatment...
Not sure if aloe will help with that. Its been used mostly for digestive issues. Pre Op today was very uneventful. I thought I would be speaking to the gastro who is to perform the procedure but all i did was sit in the lobby and fill out papers then they said I was done. I figured this would be a bit more detailed. They havent even reviewed my blood work that I had sent to them. I wanted to kinda let the gastro know about my situation and progress before he done the upper GI...Maybe he will speak to me when I show up for the procedure. So far all I have seen is a PA at his practice when I went in the first time, and that was some 6 weeks ago now. Maybe this is normal, it just doesn't feel very thorough to me. I expected them to get an update on me regarding my situation, and speak to me about the procedure I will be having. I was surprised when I handed in the few papers the girl just says "Thanks, see you in a week!" lol. Ive never had any kind of procedure before so Im new to all this.
