Hi i am new to this forum and have a question. I've been diagnosed with H pylori as well as uc, THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED antibiotics but i know it will make my UC much more worse than now. i decided to go to naturopath and she gave me product called Helico)x by company Panaxea, i could not find any info on it. i started it 4 days ago and have pretty bad reaction - diarrhea, vomiting,pain in the upper abdomen, bloating and gas. now before treatment H pylori didn't bother me at all. i was wondering if anyone had those pill and how did they affect you?

Can you elaborate what is UC?

I assume UC means ulcer here. Your doctor should have also prescribe you PPI together with the antibiotics. The PPI will make your ulcer better by reducing the acid in your stomach. H. pylori is the root of your ulcer, therefore, the antibiotics will get rid of the bug and so your ulcers will not come back. before the discovery of H. pylori, people only control the symptom by taking PPI and their ulcers keep coming back. Now that we know that antibiotics kill H. pylori, stomach ulcers rarely come back.

As for Helico)x, I am not familiar with it. I cant find useful information online either. I called up the company Panaxea (Sydney) and they are not very helpful. Hopefully anyone else in this forum who has experience in this would comment it's effectiveness. Nevertheless, to date, there is nothing working as efficient as antibiotics in killing H. pylori.

hi, thanks for the reply, UC means Ulcerative colitis, which they say does not relate to H pylori at all, but treating H pylori make colitis much worse. the meds from Panaxea is practitioner only, and contain Chinese herbs, the problem is my practitioner very uncertain about side effects of it and calling company itself is useless, i did and they are so secretive almost like KGB. so i was hoping to find somebody else who used helico)x just to compare the symptoms. also can the Die off cause pain of the upper abdomen, diarrhea and nausea, if so how can i stop diarrhea i absolutely cannot afford diarrhea right now (it will start bleeding of the colon again) ?
