Hi can anyone help. My daughter has been in hospital recently with bad stomach pains and had to do a sample for H Pylori - it came back in-conclusive as she was on anti acids. They still seems to think this is what she has.. this has been going on now for 6 weeks, she has taken three lots of antibiotics, but still in lots of pain, she has lost some weight but she is not herself, very run down, with ulcers in her mouth, cole saws... just not right for a child to be going through this pain. They have also told me to stop weighing her and they will do this once a month as it is just worrying me.. which really annoys me. of course it is worrying she is only 11 and children should not suffer with pain not like this.. What should I do next, she has nearlly finished the antibiotics.. tomorrow.. nurses have told me should could be in pain for another 12 months. Is this right! I am really worried in case it causes more problems (CAN IT) she is also constipated which does not help and is normally a lively person that goes regular, climbing trees but the last weeks she hardly gets out of bed. Any advice would be great. Just a worried parent

I'm afraid I can't help you, I am just a sufferer of h.pylori as well, and am not a doctor.
but as a parent, I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I hear your pain, and I hope that your daughter gets better soon, I know what it's like to worry about your child when they are sick, but stay strong for her.

Just wondering, what kinds of things have they already ruled out with testing?
