Hi All:

I had already tried to post a new topic here, with no success. So, I´m trying again, for I´m really confused.

I took a Comprehensive Stool Analysis Test that showed I have Candida Krusei and Giardia, among other parasites and yeasts. I also tested H. Pylori positive fot the Urea Breath Test. This was all through a naturopath who advised me not to take antibiotics for pylore for my candida could grow worse, but to treat my parasites with medication first and then treat H. Pylori the natural way. This was in the US, I was just visiting, so I couldn´t follow thourhg.

So back home in South America my GI just prescribed me a course of antibiotics for H Pylori and another medication for Giardia. He didn´t even think Candida was worth treating. The tretment for H. Pylori he prescribed was this:

Prilosec 40 MG 30 MIN 1 tablet before breakfast and 1 tablet 30 MIN bofore dinner
Levofloxcacin 500 MG 1 tablet after lunch
Amoxicilin 500 MG 2 tablets after breakfast and 2 tablets after dinner

All this for 10 days.

So, is this treatment right for H. Pylori? And won´t it make me have more Candida afterwards? Should go the natural way or perhaps treat the Candida and the Giardia first and then treat H. Pylori with these medications?

Thanks for any help,

John.

"Coconut Oil" is very helpful and affective for Candida Yeast. But it must be cold pressed.

Hi,

I think that Giardia is causing all your symptoms. This parasite lives in the duodenum and can cause gastritis. What I would recommand you to do is to take a treatment that can kill H.pylori as well as Giardia.

You can take Lansoprasole 20MG TID, Tinidazile 500MD TID, Cirpro 500MG TID, and bismuth citrate 200 MG tid.

You can contact me at : jyt@live.ca

Best regards and happy new year for all.

The medications Imetronidazole (called Flagyl)n and tinidazole (Tindamax) are good choices for Giardia. These medicines kill Giardia lamblia in the digestive tract. Metronidazole comes in tablet and liquid forms. It usually is taken in tablet form for 3 to 7 days for treatment of giardiasis. Tinidazole comes in tablet form. It usually is taken for 1 day either in one dose or in several doses throughout the day. Note that Metronidazole cures giardiasis in adults 80% to 95% of the time. Tinidazole is very effective for the treatment of giardiasis. A single dose often cures the infection with very few side effects, which is why it might be a preferred choice. Note that side effects include a metallic taste in the mouth, nausea, dizziness, headache and vomiting. Given the high rate of success with these medications and the short course needed, definitely worth treating. Note that these same drugs are what are used to treat giardia in dogs.

Hi,
I am also just completing these three meds for H. Pylori
If you have symptoms on your next test (for me it was a blood test), the the FDA has listed what the next group of meds should be.
Hopefully h.pylori will be gone, as I think mine is.
The vaginal yeast can be treated with a single diflucan tablet. I always keep one on hand just in case.....
Good Luck!
Susan

I am not so sure about Giardia, but I am sure blood test will not be the ideal test. because after infection, you'll have antibody against the infection and it can be in your body as long as a few years. so it'll be false positive, at least for H. pylori serology test.
