Hi,
As far as I'm aware, there is no standard guidelines for HP susceptability testing, meaning each lab will follow their own measures and guidelines. So it's a bit difficult to say exactly how the tests will be conducted and the results will be measured. I would suggest you call the lab and ask them directly.
HP is not very easy to culture and I have heard of cases that they were unable to grow it in a lab. Also, be aware that what might work in vitro (outside the body) might not work in vivo (inside the body). So there is no guarantee that an antibiotic that kills HP in a lab will actually be effective to kill it in your body.
Susceptability testing is usually suggested for people who had unsuccessful eradication therapies. If it was me, I would ensure that all the antibiotics included in the "Treatments" link on this website were included in the susceptability tests. Once again, you might want to check this with you the lab conducting the tests and your doctor.
Hope you feel well so!
Luci.
