Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection often affects the stomach lining and can lead to a range of digestive symptoms. Common signs include a burning or gnawing pain in the upper abdomen, especially when the stomach is empty, frequent bloating, and excessive burping. Some people may experience nausea, loss of appetite, or unexplained weight loss. In more severe cases, H. pylori can cause peptic ulcers, which may result in sharp or persistent abdominal pain, vomiting, or even dark or bloody stools. It’s important to note that many individuals with H. pylori may show no symptoms at all, making medical testing necessary for accurate diagnosis Among Us Free

It’s also worth noting that many people with H. pylori are asymptomatic, so testing is essential for diagnosis, and early treatment can prevent ulcers and more serious complications.

it's so common and often silent, how do you actually catch H. pylori in the first place? Is it mostly from food/water, or does it spread between people?

It's usually spread from mother to child, when they are young.
adult can transmit H. pylori, but it's not common because of good oral hygiene.

now you know, good oral hygiene can prevent spread of H. pylori.
