Hi everyone! I have been suffering from an acute brain fog for nearly 7 and a half years now. I have been through almost every single treatment possible. Sleep studies, SSRIs, Mushrooms, group therapy, one on one therapy, EKGs, CT scans, dietary changes, fasting/detox’s, gluten &dairy free, you name it.

About 3 months ago I discovered a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori. Geometry Dash ScratchIt’s common in up to 70% of people in developed countries but in most people it is benign. For those unlucky as myself, it has been linked to much more malignant issues such as acute brain fog from leaky gut, Alzheimer’s, neurological inflammation, can lead to blood–brain barrier breakdown and axonal/neuronal damage, B-cell lymphoma and a slue of GI related issues. I recently tested positive for high amounts of this bacteria and begin Triple antibiotic therapy next week. I will be taking pre and probiotics in conjunction with it. I will keep you all updated as I start my journey to recovery.

I would advise any and everyone to get tested for this bacteria. Gastroenterologists can test and treat this.

Do keep us updated about your treatment progress. Try to complete the treatment as if you stop midway, H. pylori can revive and become resistant to the antibiotics, and you'll need to take even stronger antibiotics next time.

Also, H. pylori is usually prevalent in developing countries. For example, in Australia, the prevalence is about 10-15%.

s a fellow h pylori sufferer, I can say that while it set me on the path to recovery, it didn't completely heal me. The infection caused a lot of damage, and the treatment really took a toll on my gut. I’m still experiencing symptoms five months after treatment. A big part of the long recovery has been my poor diet control until December, but healing just takes time. You will improve; your body just needs patience.

Have you done a follow up to find out if your treatment was successful?
