Hey! For the last month I have been having nausea, feeling of being full, burping, there we days where I couldn’t eat anything or drink anything because of the nausea, I went to my doctor and got tested, i tested positive for H. pylori and I am currently waiting for the rest of the results just in case there’s something more, I am currently taking the quadruple treatment with bismuth, this is my second day of taking around 17 pills, those are Omeprazol (stomach protector) 2 times a day, Metoclopramida (for the nauseaslope game) 3 times a day and Pylera (the antibiotic) 12 pills a day, 3 every 6 hours. I was just asking myself when is this going to get better? It has been limiting my life to the point where i don’t leave my house, I have lost a lot of weight and I feel constanly nauseos, I am just feeling so hopeless I dont know if this is even going to work or help me, when are the symptoms going to go away?

Hi, your symptoms may or may not be related to H. pylori.
But it is always a good idea to get rid of H. pylori as it is a Class I carcinogen.

How were you tested positive for H. pylori? breath test? if so, do you have the raw data? Would like to know how positive is your positive result.

Your treatment looks good. But you may experience some side effects from the treatment. The side effect normally kicks in after day 3 and will gradually worsen. However, please ensure you complete the treatment to avoid H. pylori becoming resistant to the treatment. Nevertheless, if your side effect is very bad, please contact your doctor and seek advise.

I understand how you feel—treating H. pylori with the 4-drug regimen you are on is very taxing and can cause fatigue, nausea, and loss of appetite. However, it is a highly effective regimen, and most people start to feel better after 5–7 days of treatment,Pokerogue although side effects may persist long after the medication is finished.

You are not alone, and this treatment is highly likely to help you recover. Hang in there!
