Thanks for letting me join ๐Ÿ˜€

I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™ve been misdiagnosed with Acid reflux for 5 years and now I find out I have H pylori infection and very low B12 (108). The last 5years Iโ€™ve had intermittent reflux , tight stomach everyday , feeling tired yet doctors said it was reflux ๐Ÿ‘€

So what does this mean for , I read low B12 can be caused by long term gastritis causing low stomach acid or atrophy and possible metaplasia ? I have just been given a tripe therapy treatment which I will do today and will eradication of the bacteria normalise my B12 levels ..please can you help put my mind to rest regarding low B12 ..

Also should take the treatments altogether at the sane time on empty stomach or should I take the PPI 30 minutes before food then the antibiotics with a light meal ?

Best regards and I really look forward to your replies ..๐Ÿ˜€

There is association of H. pylori and low B12.
Most of the patients have elevated B12 after H. pylori eradication.

Based on our experience, it is best to take the drugs evenly across the day.
For example, if the tablets are to be taken twice a day, do it every 12 hours. If it is to be taken three times a day, then every 8 hours.
More PPI dosing period is better than less dosing period.
For example, it is better to take 20 mg twice a day than 40mg once a day.
The idea is to maintain high concentration of the drugs in the blood and dont give any chance for H. pylori to react.

So it doesnt matter if the drugs are taken before or after food.

I totally agree with you. Taking the drugs evenly across the day is better. geometry dash breeze
