Please help me, I'm getting to the point where I no longer want to live. The last two weeks of my life have been a nightmare. I can't continue living this way. I went to the ED four times and had blood tests, chest xrays & ECG. My white blood cells and neutrophils were a bit high and I was told I likely have a viral infection.

I tested positive for H Pylori earlier this year. A couple of weeks ago I took a Vitamin D3 + K2 supplement and began experiencing the following symptoms within a few days and stopped the supplement on day 4:
Extreme thirst, frequent urination, dry mouth, short of breath (false dyspnea?), tachycardia, change in blood pressure, palpitations, insomnia, black stool, loss of appetite/weight, brain fog, can't think clearly, feeling hot then cold, anxious, panic attacks, hypnic jerks, low tolerance to heat, nausea, mild discomfort below left rib cage, night sweats to the point where the duvet is soaked.

I understand H Pylori requires K2 to grow and flourish. Is this true?

It's now two weeks since I stopped taking the vitamin and the insomnia, palpitations and shortness of breath are ruining my life. I have not slept in over a week!

The Shortness of Breath seems to be related to my left lung which is struggling to fully open due to resistance from the diaphragm. When I release intestinal gas the symptom improves.

My GI is not aware of most of these symptoms being related to Pylori and is being cautious about putting me on antibiotic treatment for Pylori as I have IBD which could be exacerbated.

I just want to know if you think these symptoms are all related to my positive pylori test.

Please help.

Mike

I'm traumatised and want this nightmare to end. I don't want to start treatment unless I'm certain that's what I've got.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the specific symptoms you mentioned are not the ones we typically associate directly with an H. pylori infection. However, it is important to remember that most common gastric symptoms are ultimately driven by the inflammation that the bacteria cause in your stomach lining. If we focus on tackling one major issue at a time, we can usually make gradual progress toward resolving all of your related health concerns.

To effectively eliminate H. pylori, the treatment must combine a PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitor) to suppress stomach acid with a cocktail of antibiotics. I would be interested to see what your doctor has prescribed so we can assess how strong and effective the treatment is. The good news is that the antibiotics used for H. pylori often clear up other bacterial issues concurrently, which might help relieve some of your other problems at the same time.
