Hi , I'm battling with H pylori for 2 years . I had thriple therapy course twice with some improvement but after few months symptoms came back . Now I'm on bismuth quadruple therapy day 6 from 14 I started having sharp pain in lower abdomen just before bowel movement. The bowel movements became more often then usually. 3-4 a day usually 1 a day . The stool looks normal on shape . After bowel movement feeling bloated and bit sore in the abdomen .sometimes with gas and burping and cramps . Is this a common side effect the sharp pain in lower abdomen and so many bowel movements.

It sounds like you're experiencing some challenging side effects from the bismuth quadruple therapy. While increased bowel movements and abdominal discomfort can occur during treatment, it's essential to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider to rule out any complications and receive appropriate guidance.

if the pain is sharp and persistent, it's important to consult your doctor to rule out any complications or side effects from the medication.
