Licorice root on stool test?

I asked on my other post but I really need an answer so I’m hoping someone with knowledge will see this.
Does deglycyrrhizinated licorice root effect a stool h pylori test? I was taking an h2 blocker but had break through acid some days so I took the chewables to soothe.
Now I am fearful it is anti microbial and I have to wait another 2 weeks.
Anyone !?!?

deglycyrrhizinated licorice root may affect the stool test. But stopping it a day or two should be good enough before the test.
Can you get the laboratory to provide you a raw data? how negative is your negative result?

H2 blockers can also affect test results, so make sure to inform your doctor about all the medications and supplements you’ve been taking.

H2 blocker is not as strong as PPI. You only need to stop H2 blocker one night before the test.

Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) isn’t considered an antibiotic and generally isn’t known to interfere with H. pylori stool tests. Those tests are mainly affected by antibiotics, bismuth, and acid suppressors like PPIs. An H2 blocker can sometimes matter depending on the test and timing, but DGL itself is unlikely to cause a false result. When in doubt, it’s best to confirm with your doctor or the lab.

DGL licorice isn’t known to interfere with an H. pylori stool test the way antibiotics, bismuth, or PPIs do. It’s mainly soothing, not strongly antimicrobial. A few chewables are very unlikely to affect your results.

While I have not experimented with it. I think it is likely to affect the diagnostics as it cross react with urease enzyme.
Perhaps you should try to stop at least 2 weeks before UBT.
