I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through a similar experience.

It all started when I began having frequent heart palpitations, loss of appetite (I didn’t feel like eating at all), and a fever-like feeling. Because of this, I went to the hospital. They did blood tests and my results showed ANA positive with a 1:80 titer, nuclear dense fine speckled pattern.

During my next visit, my doctor suggested an H. pylori breath test, which came back positive. I was then put on quadruple therapy for H. pylori. After completing the treatment, I actually felt fine and was almost normal for about two months.

During those two months, I started drinking milk regularly in the morning and at night. After a few days of doing that, I began to feel stomach pain, so I stopped milk completely. I felt a bit better after that.

However, after about one more month, I started experiencing some unusual symptoms again, like:
• A strange or different taste in my mouth
• A mild feverish feeling (but no actual fever)
• Body pains and general discomfort

Now I’m confused and worried whether this is related to gastritis, H. pylori healing, stress, or the ANA positivity.

Has anyone had H. pylori treatment, felt better for a while, and then experienced symptoms like these again?
Or anyone with low-titer ANA positivity who had similar unexplained symptoms?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Hi,

It's not uncommon for symptoms to return after H. pylori treatment. Perhaps you should get a follow-up checkup to see if your H. pylori is truly eradicated.
