Is there a way to know if current h pylori symptoms are due to acute or chronic infection?

H. pylori is rarely acute. But according to Prof Marshall's self experience, only the first few days of infection gave me some nauseous and gastric symptoms. Then perhaps the stomach adjusted itself and he felt better. But the endoscopy has shown massive inflammation.

Thank you, I was wondering since I never really had stomach pain, nausea, etc.
Just shortness of breath, weight loss, chest pain/heartburn, burping, that's pretty much it. Rare stomach pain but it would go away if I got up and walked around and it was probably a 2 on a pain scale from 1 to 10 where 10 is worst pain.

yea... that's why it's hard to justify to get a treatment.
But the problem is that the damage accumulates. It can sometimes be too late or too difficult to heal when the symptoms become significant.
