Best efficacy

I have now started the second 7 day eradication therapy consisting of:

Omeprazole 20mg twice daily
Amoxicillin 1g twice daily
Metronidazole 400mg twice daily

What is the best way to take these antibiotics to maximise their efficacy ? Before or after food? Should I avoid milk and yogurt?

Anything not to do that would reduce the effect of Amoxicillin and Metronidazole

I just wanted know if any food and/or timing would affect the absorption of the antibiotics.

Someone said to me to avoid diary products and to take antibiotics on empty stomach or 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals

Is that correct?

we dont really care if its before or after meal.
so far, we have been asking patients to take it after meal and we are able to achieve 95% cure rate.

Sorry one more question. Is better to have PPI an hour before the antibiotics or together with the antibiotics

most important to take PPI in multiple dose, evenly spread.
if you are prescribed 2 dose a day, then you should have it every 12 hours.

having multiple dose a day is more effective than a single dose a day.

so it doesnt matter if it's before or after meal/antibiotics.
