Hello all, kind of a weird question but is it safe to be vaccinated for the flu and get a TDAP booster while dealing with H. Pylori gastritis? Could doing cause any complications?

Thank you! :D

It should be ok. Lots of people in the world carry H. pylori without knowing it.

We know that H. pylori "tame" the immune response, where people infected with H. pylori are less likely to get allergies.

Perhaps it is because the immune system is constantly fighting H. pylori and has no spare energy for the allergens.

Therefore, it would be interesting to compare how vaccine react on people with and without H. pylori.

Perhaps people with H. pylori infection will have a more "gentle" vaccination response (as the immune system is fighting two fronts).

Thanks for the reply, Helico_expert!

I got vaccinated and I'm still alive lolol. The only "side effect" was sore arms at the site of needle entry. Nothing really different, otherwise. :]
