Hello and thanks for all the info you provide. After my first upper endoscopy because of at least 8-9 years of stomach pain and reflux symptoms, I was diagnosed with chronic Erythematous gastritis, activation fase, H Pylori 1+, Barrett's Esophagus no dysplasia, GERD stage C. I was prescribed AB+bismouth+PPI regimen for the eradication, and after that I should take H2 blockers for the BE. The Barrett was new to me, but I know about the HB for 3 years but haven't started the therapy for various health and non health related reasons. How many people have both H pylori+Barrett? I’ve read a lot of conflicting info on protective role of H pylori on GERD and Barrett's esophagus, or at least on the inverse connection between them, what do you think about that? I don't want to aggravate my Gerd symptoms so I'm a bit afraid to start the therapy. I'm 46 years old, female.

Meta‑analyses covering over 1.3 million participants show that patients with Barrett’s have a significantly lower prevalence of H. pylori than those without (OR ≈ 0.53)
