Hello House,
I did H pylori eradication early this year and I felt relieved till August this year. I just did blood test and Stool antigen test and it both came out negative . Is still antigen test effective or can it give false negative. The reason why I am asking this is because I am still feeling dyspepsia.
Could the h pylori still be present.
Thanks.

If blood test is negative, then you are almost certain that you are free of H. pylori.
Some people can experience small episodes of gastric symptoms after H. pylori eradicated. Try to eat healthy and avoid thinking too much about it. Usually the more you think about it, the more symptoms you will feel.

Focus on maintaining a healthy diet without overthinking it. Generally, the more you dwell on it, the more symptoms you'll likely experience

Sometimes symptoms can persist for a while even after successful eradication. The stomach may need time to fully heal. If the stool antigen and blood tests are negative, it usually indicates that the infection is gone. However, if the symptoms continue for a long time, it might be worth discussing with a doctor to check for other causes such as gastritis, acid reflux, or food sensitivities. Maintaining a balanced diet and reducing stress can also help improve recovery.

Hello all,
I finished my Pylera helicobacter treatment after two courses of antibiotics. The results were negative, but unfortunately, I still feel unwell. I still have gurgling in my intestines and am very bloated.
Does anyone know how long the bloated belly will remain?
Thank you.
