Greetings Barjammer and Helico Expert,

During the lockdown due to COVID-19, I was wondering what have you (Team Helico), the undisputed authority on H. Pylori have learned about H. Pylori and COVID-19, like are the chance of infection more? I read something on CNN about famotidine and COVID-19, etc. We have learned so much from this website and I would really appreciate the information and I am sure everyone on this forum would also appreciate it if you can shed some light on it, so we may gain more knowledge.

hmm.. interesting question. We do not have much information about COVID and famotidine. But my guess is that there is no correlation between famotidine and COVID infection.

I think neither H. pylori nor acid blockers will have any impact on COVID infection.

I think it's too early to have any conclusion on acid suppressants against COVID.
