Any experience with Vimovo?

Hello! I'm returning to this page after a few years of absence. My doc has given me a prescription for Vimovo 500mg twice a day. Vimovo is Naproxen covered in Esomeprazol (Nexium). She gave me this for my hip pains, after I told her about my history with chronic gastritis and previously Helico infection.

I'm supposed to use this drug for a month. All though I'm lookin forwards to getting rid ofthe hip pain, I'm not very excited about possible gastric problems returning. The pain of the helico infection was probably the worst pain I've ever had.

I would like to hear from others who have tried this medicine. How long did you use it? Did your peptic symptoms worsen/return?

So do you still have H. pylori now?

Yes, I probably still have it. I took two different triple meds. The hp still didn't go away, finally my doc told me to just live with it. The symptoms come and go.

You need to get a follow up test to find out if you still have H. pylori.

only when H. pylori is eradicated, you can focus on the recovery. Otherwise, you're just waiting something that will never come.

Hi Dushtek, I just started Vimovo last week for joint pain Slope Game, and so far it's helped reduce the inflammation a lot. I’ve had mild heartburn a couple of times, but nothing close to the stomach pain I had with regular NSAIDs in the past.

Reading through other people's experiences is quite helpful.solitaire blissVimovo seems to help relieve joint pain but has the potential to cause stomach problems, especially for those who have had H. pylori. Perhaps you need to monitor closely and do regular tests for peace of mind.
