Constant hunger for 4 months - what is this???

Hi all,

I’ve been dealing with a very strange symptom for the past 4 months now - constant hunger that doesn’t go away (or goes away for 1-2 hours after eating, and then returns). Doesn’t matter what I eat, how much I eat, etc. I even saw a nutritionist who put me on a meal plan that didn’t help. I have gotten blood work done for diabetes and thyroid issues - everything was completely normal.

I just had an endoscopy done yesterday, so I’m still waiting back for the biopsy results - but the doc saw no ulcers. The only thing he did see is severe esophagitis. But he doesn’t think that’s related to my symptoms of hunger, and so we’re waiting for the biopsy results.

My question is can H. pylori cause feelings of hunger like this even without an ulcer?? Or does anyone have any idea what this might be?? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I had H pylori, no ulcer but severe chronic gastritis.
I had hunger pain (Hunger pangs) which subsided with eating, however it lasted just for few minutes. right after eating, I had an uncomfortable fullness, pressure and pain in my stomach which was different to the pain I felt before eating.
