Hello Helico team,

Im 29y-old male, i start having h pylori symptoms since 2 years ago.
i've taken twice the antibiotics, in Jan 2019, and April 2019, triple therapy for 14 days. the first therapy failed. but the second one works.
ive done an endoscopy on Jan 2019, but just a slight redness on the esophagus.
i have taken UBT on May 2019 and Aug 2019 to ensure the result is purely negative.
and yes the result is already showing negative. Since then, i have on off PPI and ranitidine.
Currently im on ranitidine for 2weeks since the symptoms is painful.
The problem is i still have the symptoms, nausea feeling almost the whole day. Pain in the center of the stomach and left side.
Hunger feeling is also another thing that came out recently. when i eat plain bread i will feel burning sensation and pain in the stomach.
Since early this year i been taking care of my diet by eating almost blend food and avoid spicy, peppery food. i also tried manuka honey but no avail.
in some point, i will have rapid heart rate after a meal.
However, for the past few month, there is no significant improvement .
What should i do in this condition. Please help me.

did you stop PPI for at least 2 weeks before breath test?

most importantly is to have H. pylori eradicated. You are still young, so endoscopy is optional.

if you are truly negative of H. pylori, you'll just have to wait for the stomach's recovery. hopefully it will recover sooner.

Yes i did stop ppi 1month before UBT.
My question is it safe to use ranitidine 150mg for twice a day for a long term?
Or i should use PPI to reduce the symptoms?
The doctor advice to use radinitine for only 1 month.

yes, ranitidine would be safer than PPI.

150mg BID is ok.
