Hi, I was having shortness of breath and belching issue for few months and after getting Endoscopy done, I was diagnosed with RUT positive/H Pylori.
I have taken a triple therapy for 14 days & maintaining my diet well and feeling a little better but I have become lactose intolerant. Following are my queries;
1.Shall I get another Endoscopy/Breath test done now or wait for sometime?
2.How much time does it take for H Pylori to completely go away from the body?
3. I am avoiding milk, oily & spicy foods. What exactly is that I can eat.. its an everyday challenge.!
4. I have started to get minor cramps twice or thrice a day in stomach which weren't there before starting medication, is it normal?

you need to wait for at least 2 weeks without taking any medication and get a follow up breath test.
no need to do another endoscopy.
if your breath test is negative, then you will gradually recover and can eat anything you want.
The symptoms you feel after treatment is not entirely common. but i heard patients mentioned before. I believe is the stomach trying to adapt to a new environment without H. pylori. give it sometime to recover.

Really Really appreciate you revert on this sir.
I will post whatever the result of Breath Test comes out to be.
Also I have read that stomach lining takes its now time to heal (4-8 weeks), depending on person to person.
Is it true.

yes. the healing is subjective. usually young and healthy patients heal faster than elderly. It's all depending on the damage done. Usually younger patients have milder damage compare to the elderly who has the bacteria for a much longer time.

So, I will just have to wait and see how antibiotics worked for me.
I am although continuing natural therapies along with it which is Garlic, Green Tea, Aloevera juice, Turmeric etc.
I too have shortness of breath which I believe is because of Belching issues, as I do some belching and breathing is normal.

yup. if you find natural therapy improves your symptoms, please continue to do so. However, it is important to make sure that your H. pylori is completely eradicated after the treatment. You can find that out by a follow up breath test a month later.

Hello Expert,
I've eradicated H.Pylori over 6 month. Since then if I drink milk, have oil based food, or have any sort of sugar I get a rapid heart rate that literally has landed me in the ED a couple of times. My diet consist of very limited items, a lot of broth. Do you have any test or recommendations.

hmmm... have you done endoscopy to have a look at your stomach condition?
even without endoscopy, usually after HP eradication, your condition should gradually improve.
