Hello All - Since November 2018, I am suffering from digestion issues. My primary care physician advised me to eat non fatty and fibre rich foods. Diet changes did not result in improvement and I also developed heart burns by March' 2019. I tested positive for H-Pylori in March' 2019 via breadth test. My doctor prescribed me 10 day Pylera (Bismuth Subcit K-Metronidz-Tcn) and 1 month of Omeprazole. The medications that I have taken are as follows

April-1 to April-10 (Pylera 4 times a day and Omeprazole twice a day)
April-11 to April 30th (Omeprazole twice a day)
No medications from May 1st

My stool test to check if my H-Pylori was cured or not is completed on May 28th (after 4 weeks of no medications) and I should be receiving the results early next week.

From around May 5th (i.e. 5 days after no medications) - I am having heart palpitations and tremors in my chest, legs and hands. These symptoms get worse when I lay flat to sleep. Occasionally, I also feel sensation of ants crawling on my feet, scalp and face. I feel gassy, pressure in my throat and no appetite at all. I discussed the symptoms with my doctor and he ordered an ECG for the heart palpitations which is normal. He told me to give more time for the stomach to heal and the bloating/no appetite will improve. He did not address the sensation of ants crawling on my feet, scalp and face.

My primary care physician is treating me and is refusing to refer me to a Gastroenterologist. I am desperately looking for help so that I can feel better from heart palpitations, tremors and sensation of insects crawling. This is impacting my work life. Can you please help me?

to be honest, this is the first time i heard about this symptom. I am not sure if it is because of H. pylori or the side effect of antibiotics.

Thanks for the response. I am assuming the response is specific to the feeling of Ants crawling of scalp.

On a positive side, I received the results of stool test today and H-Pylori is no longer detected.

If it's side effect of the antibiotics, they usually go away quickly within a week after stop taking the antibiotics. Talk to your doctor about it and see if he can find something by visual examination.
