Does this mean h pylori resistance??

Hello everyone ..I was tested for h pylori last year December and it wa positive .then i was prescribed to take triple therapy of antibiotics which include omeprazole capsules ..tinidazole and clarithromycin(for two weeks) after i took this medication i feel better for a couple of weeks then suddenly after 3 weeks the symptoms re appears...and then i went and tested for h pylori (blood test) and it was positive..so what should i do im worried mow help... :(


Should i prescibed with other treatments such as the quadruple bismuth therapy or because my doctor prescribed me with the same medication he gave at the firts time (clarithromycin, tinidazole and omeprazole) but its not showing some changes ..im in the second week taking this..and this time he prescribed me to take this for three weeks rather than weeks

you cannot do a blood test to find out if you still have H. pylori. You need to repeat the diagnostic test by either breath or stool test.

if you are truly carrying a resistant H. pylori, then you cannot take tinidazole and clarithromycin again. Are you able to take Amoxicillin? it would be a much better choice.

So if its resistance i should take amoxicillin together with omeprazole is it possible

it's very hard for H. pylori to become resistant to Amoxicillin. So Amoxicillin can be repetitively used.
But it's very hard to kill H. pylori by Amoxicillin and PPI. So, to make it work, you will have to add one or two more antibiotics to this PPI + Amox combination.

Bismuth is another very good drug to combat H. pylori. So your choice is
PPI + Amox + Bismuth + (one other antibiotic that you have not tried).

Please talk to your doctor about the recommendation above.

I went to see my doctor and told him about that he said i should take amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin and omeprazole

your doctor must know the local strains better than me. If he knows PPI + Amox + Cip would work, then go ahead with his suggestion.
