Hi all
First eradication i had with:
- Ofloxacin

and it didn't work.

Now i have a +++ biopsy test for HP and two healed ulcers. My doctor prescribed new treatment based on information from United European Gastroenterological Week 2018. This treatment include:
- Pariet 20mg*4 times in a day (30 min before eating, every 6 hours), 14 days

Could you tell me is it a proper treatment?

Hi,

Sorry that your first treatment didnt work. As for your second treatment, you only get Pariet and Amoxicillin? usually dual drug therapy has poor success rate. you might want to talk to your doctor about adding Clarithromycin and bismuth.

Helico_expert Thank for your reply
I went to the doctor and he prescribed treatment with two antibiotics.
Also could you tell me if there are any researches of gastric and duodenal ulcers not related to H.P?
Thank you for your help.

stomach ulcer is commonly caused by either H. pylori or NSAIDs.

The mechanism is actually the reduction of mucous layer that protect the stomach, and the acid is burning the stomach wall.

H. pylori decreases the mucous layer by killing off the mucous producing cell.
NSAIDs decreases the mucous layer by the by inhibiting the secretion of mucus.

So, i think the right question is, are you taking anything else that could potentially reduce the mucous secretion?
