Is treatment failure really only 20% after 1st round?

I am waiting for another 2 weeks to check if my first line antibiotics killed the h pylori. I finished the triple therapy 2 weeks ago.
My symptoms actually did not improve at all.
I have either pressure in my stomach area feeling, and even sometime I have to remind myself that my heart has been checked, as I can't take enough air at time.
Or when I do eat mostly anything really, I get severe belching, mild nausea, and even mild elevated temperature (99.5). Basically how a person would feel if he has mild stomach bug.

I assumed I probably eradicated the bug since the published eradication rates are so high...80-90%. But I wonder if that is correct?
I found a tiny study for Los Angeles area, where 57% of the sufferers actually did not eradicate.

the eradication rate is only a reference in general. If you are frequently exposed to antibiotics, then the cure rate will be lower.

hopefully you will feel better next week.

Of 1,050 patients with H. pylori infections, drift hunters 302 (28.7%) experienced treatment failure (mean age 58.4 years; 44.7% males).

Where's your source from? What kind of treatment did they receive? Plucking figures like this without any background isn't helpful to anyone

However, approximately 10–20% of patients still fail treatment (Liou et al., 2011, 2016). Patients who fail two or more treatments are often referred to as patients with refractory Helicobacter pylori infection, and treating these patients is still a difficult problem in the clinic (Losurdo et al., 2022a).

Personally, I feel sympathy for the difficulties you are going through. Hopefully, the doctors can help you find the cause and more effective treatment so that you can feel healthy again Incredibox game
