I just took the quadruple therapy for 12 days, although the doctor said I should take for 14 days but I cannot take it anymore.
The side effect is horrible, not only black tongue and black poop due to bismuth, but also belching, bloating, and heartburning after almost every meal!! I'm eating very little and have lost 5 pounds in a week.
and today is the 4th day after I've stopped the therapy, but the symptoms are still there OMG!! I think I'm having anxiety and depression now due to all happened in the past 3 weeks and it's driving me crazy.
Can anyone share your experience and give me any hope?

12 days is probably good enough. Prof Marshall usually only use 10 days treatment.
so which quadruple therapy did you use?
it's normal not to feel "cured" immediately. Some people takes months or years to get back to normal. Most importantly is to know that H. pylori is eradicated and your situation will not get worse.
So make sure you make another appointment a month later to get your HP checked and make sure it is truly eradiated.

It is hard for H. pylori to become resistant to Tetracycline. But easy to become resistant to metronidazole. However, there are evidence that metronidazole resistance can be overcome when taking tetracycline or higher dose.
Anyway, you will have to do another breath test a month later to confirm the eradication.

I read that you could take metronidazole again if the bacteria has already resisted to metronidazole but with another combination
is that true ?
