My mom has been suffering from abdominal pains and was recently diagnosed with h. Pylori.
She has completed her first treatment of 2 weeks and on the second one now but she still feel movements inside her stomach. Sometimes it'll show up as a very hard lump on the stomach. This lump will disappear after a while with a loud noise. The lump is scary.
What should we do?

maybe she needs an endoscopy checkup.

Her first treatment was with clarithromycin, esomeprazole, amoxicillin and an antacid.
The treatment was not completed because the symptoms continued and we met with our doctor who gave us another set of drugs which are clarithromycin, omeprazole and tinidazole. He said she should stop taking the previous drugs.
Right now, the stomach still make loud noises and the lump still appears. The lump mostly appear when she eat some certain foods. It's not turning her stomach now but the lump still appear and disappear with audible noise. Not in a specific place on the stomach. It can appear at any place. And is very hard to the touch.
Should we complete the treatment before going for endoscopy?

normally you should finish the treatment, then go for the endoscopy. But, I think you should talk to a specialist who can physically examine you. Then ask his opinion if you should get endoscopy done before finishing the treatment.

We have completed the treatment and did endoscopy.
The result is that the stomach is highly inflammed, that she has chronic gastritis and she still have the h.pylori.
Doctor prescribed clarithromycin, amoxicillin and omeprazole.
She's on this drug now. Do you think she'll eradicate h pylori with this drug?
How long does it take to cure gastritis? Doctor said it takes a very long time to get over it. Like a year. I have read somewhere that it doesn't take that much time. Please I need advice

I think endoscopy was done too soon after finishing the treatment. of course it will remain inflamed. it'll take a couple of weeks to recover.

I thought your mom was given clari + Amox + PPI previously and she has side effect and she cant finish, then doctor gave her Clari + Tinidazole + PPI, and now back to clari + amox + PPI?

nevertheless, if she is already taking, she should finish it. Remember to do get her do a follow up breath test one month after treatment.

Yes. She had side effects on clari+amox+ppi. Doctor said it was because of antacid she was taking together with PPI. That she should continue this one without the antacid.
There's another result of the endoscopy that's not out yet, we were told to come for it in 2 weeks time. I think is biospsy. They took the sample to histology department.

i still think everything was done too hasty.

anyway, if she is already taking the drugs, just continue until she finished everything. it's not good to stop mid way.

We discovered that each time she add antacid, the stomach will start turning her seriously.
Another thing is, please how long does it take to heal gastritis? Does it ever get healed? Mom is quite worried and cry everyday because she doesn't eat many foods that she use to eat.
Yesterday she took brown rice and later take a spoon of honey. We don't know if it's the rice or honey that made her feel so much pain that yesterday.
It's only one food that she eats and nothing will happen to her. Please I'm also worried.
