One year & counting.....

Hello guys I have been adamant about joining the forums since the first time I started reading about what could be the cause of my health issues. This all started around
August of 2017 started feeling full right after eating anything even the smallest meal. After that the burping, bloating, weird stomach noises and acid reflux just got worst and worst . Went to GI after my doctor told me to see a specialist due to pain under my rib cage and the acid reflux. At first he treated me with pantoprazole and carafate - he mentioned possible ulcer or an acid reflux issue. After that the pantoprazole helped but I started getting a bit of nausea and loss of appetite so I started doing some reasearch and came across the same symptoms that HP was linked to. This was the hardest thing to nail down without have any clue about medicine...I work with engineers and mechanical designers by the way nothing close to medecine. So i thought i might mention this to the doctor and he was pretty cool with that and asked me if any of the symptoms he described were happening. So we decided to go ahead with an endoscopy and a biopsy. Well it came back positive and was treated with pantoprazole and anti biotics. After a couple of days or maybe a week started feeling WAY BETTER. Finished the prescribed medications and waited almost two months to do the breath test that came back negative. Although i think the way that I was told by my GI nurses to use the medication was not correct I was happy for the outcome. (Here is why now I think this might be back)
By this time maybe Feb -May I thought my bowel movement might go back to "normal"....but no( hate to bring this up as I think this is only personal info) but some of my movements had un-digested food fragments in the stool. Jun-Jul now and I started to get some symptoms back...getting full right away and bloating. Tought I was just eating unhealthy again or a little too much spiced up food so just cooled it with that type of food & the not so occasional fast food even more. Bloating, gas and also burping started more often and this was manageable to I thought I would just start eating healthier even more to help this but nothing was helping. Now August 2018 -Nausea, loss of appetite and joint pain are back (cant even remember if joint pain was there at its worst last year) some pain on the ribs come and go, weird stomach noises after I eat honestly...I am losing my mind..even thinking the worst that I could have some cancer...I dont need this really dont I have a new born and I am 27 i hate to worry my wife and folks but this has been the toughtest illness I have ever had. What should I get tested to clear my mind and give my body some needed stress relief that I am cancer free?

I think my biggest issue is the stress....my work place is probably 90% of my stress have other people encountered this ? As soon as a very stressful situation began HP started?

Also has anyone tired any of the procedures described by "The H Pylori Solution" - Kerri Knox. ?

Really need some suggestions on which way I should try this second time around if hopefully HP is the only issue I have. I hope and pray this is what is wrong.

Also sorry for the extreme long first post and horrible writing skills I know I am probably missing alot of details here and there and this battle has been too long.

first of all, congratulation that you got rid of the H. pylori without problem.

assuming the test that you did was accurate, and you are indeed negative of H. pylori now, I dont think is that easy to catch it back again. It's probably something that you ate or "stress" that worsen your symptoms.

So, if you think you might have H. pylori again, it is better you go get another breath test done. Make sure you did not take any medication for at least a month.

That's were I think the problem is I did take pantop on and off a week before since they had gave me enough for almost 2 months after I was done with the antibiotics. What would be more accurate a breath test or stool test?

both stool and breath test are equally accurate IF they are done correctly. PPI can affect both tests. So, perhaps you can switch to H2 blocker, such as ranitidine and repeat the breath test a month later.

ranitidine is a short lasting acid blocker that you can continuously take it until the night before breath/stool test.

My GI has told me to just take pantop. for the next two week just to see if it helps(nausea , loss of appetite and fullness). I asked if I could start taking supplaments but he said we should probably try to keep it simple first which I can see why it would make sense.
Currently I have lost my appetite its is hard for me to tell when my body is hungry or when am having stomach discomfort....its there anything I can do to help with this weird feeling of fullness and loss of appetite?

The only reason I brought up the taking supplaments is because I read that in "The H Pylori Solution"

you should be able to take whatever supplement you want that will make you feel better. You probably would want to ask your doctor if you can take some medication that helps you empty your stomach quicker, eg. Domperidone.

if you plan to do a breath test next month, you should try ask for ranitidine instead of pantoprazole. ranitidine is a short acting acid blocker and will not impact on the breath/stool test. you can continue ranitidine until the night before breath/stool test. pantoprazole on the hand is a long lasting drug and will give false negative in breath/stool test.

Helico_expert I wil ask my doctor in two weeks and push the test back so this doesn't come back and affect the test once it done

One quick question once you are told you are negative for HP does this mean the bacteria is no longer in your system or it has now gone back to dormant / non active phase ?

once H. pylori is killed, confirmed by a negative stool/breath test, then it's gone. Forever! not in your body any more. in Australia, it's almost extinct. Very hard to find it from local Australian.

to prevent reinfection, you will have to get everyone living under the same roof to get check.

That is incredible.... currently feeling up and down on energy. I have been reading here and there and some places have mentioned that HP can lead to anemia after treatment. One thing that scares me is that anemia is also one of the symptoms for cancer. I have days that I feel fine can do everything like I normally do, other days I feel extremely exhausted.
