Why two or three antibiotics instead of one ?

I don't understand why we have to take 2 or 3 antbiotics to kill the bacteria instead of one ??
I think the H.pylori can't resist to Amoxicillin so why we take the other antibiotics ??

good question and it's still being asked many times in almost every meeting.
when amoxicillin is used with PPI, as a duo therapy, the cure rate is about 50%. Then someone figured out that with 2 antibiotics and a PPI, a triple therapy, can boost the cure rate to 80%. and since then, treatment of H. pylori is always with at least 2 antibiotics and a PPI.
