i Have done an endoscopy last week for my symptoms. It showed that I have gastritis and the doctor diagnosed me with h pylori positive by biopsy using the kit urease pronto dry test. However, the result showed positive since it turned red, but after 2 days, it turned back to yellow. Yellows means negative so I’m confused. Am I h pylori negative or positive ?

yea, those dry test go back to yellow after a few days. So the result is only accurate within 20 minutes.

I would still think that you are positive of H. pylori and need treatment.

Thank you for your quickly reply sir.
I have a question.
Do you think passing out gas with mucus has to do with h pylori? Because I have been having it for couple of weeks especially in the morning after sitting on a chair for a long period at work.

I dont think it's H. pylori related. But you have it checked with GI specialist.

I assume your doctor knows that H. pylori become resistant to the antibiotics you used. Hence you cannot use the same antibiotics in your next treatment.

However, H. pylori can never become resistant to Amoxicillin and Bismuth. So these two antibiotics can be used repetitively. We believe if patients are treated correctly, all H. pylori can be eradicated. Perhaps you need to find a specialist that has access to laboratory bacterial culture. Then they can do proper test to find out exactly what antibiotics is your H. pylori resistant to.

Thanks for accepting me to forum. Iam in this battle for 2 and a half years now, done all treatments, kit, triple therapy; quadruple therapy several times but still positive and with symptoms. currently I do breath and stool tests simultaneously and Breath is always positive while stool is always negative
Today results showed breath cpm count of 398 and normal range set as 0-40. I have pains everyday in my chest behind the ribcage and worried on this never ending battle. has anyone gone through this?

many people has been successfully treated. in your case, because you have tried many treatment. you'll need a specialist who has access to a good laboratory that can culture H. pylori. Then a proper antibiotic sensitivity test can be done and a right treatment can be provided.

I have question?
If a breath test shows 2.8 ! Does it mean it’s negative ?
On the report it says. Anything less than 2.7 is negative and from 2.8 to 3.3 is boderline and 3.3 and up is positive?

It seems I’m in borderline. What does that mean ?
