Hi everyone I’m new here . Well let me get straight to the point a week ago my stool was dark and I said okay this is uncommon so I went to the doctor and I was tested for h pylori and it came out positive ... but here’s the problem I didn’t feel pain I just felt discomfort and I’ve been dropping weight like nothing started out at 325 and now I’m 312 within 2 weeks I wanna know if it’s normal or is there something that there not catching I’ve had cat scans and multiple blood test done and nothing shows up is it all in my mind or should I be looking at something bigger Than h pylori but I’m 24 and feeling like crap every day plz someone give me a answer I’m so stressed out about this .

I think endoscopy is the most direct examination. Nevertheless, since you are carrying H. pylori, you'll need to take antibiotics to get rid of it. have your doctor prescribed you treatment?

Yea they have I’m on my 5th dose of treatment and I was obese before and now my stomach is gone like gone . Idk if it’s my stress and anxiety they’ve done a lot of blood,urine, and stool test and ct scans and nothing to be found do you think it’s my anxiety/stress causing this weight loss ?

i assume your "5th dose of treatment" means, day 5. (Not treated the 5th time).

if they had done endoscopy and see nothing special, then there is nothing to worry about. It's probably a good thing that your weight goes down a little.

It’s going to be day 3 I meant my phone is crazy and they haven’t done none of those no endoscopy nothing

Dont worry so much. the mental stress will only make the situation worse. So, today is day 2 on antibiotic treatment. what antibiotics were you given?

Metronidazole, amoxicillin , omeprazole , Clarithromycin 4 different medications . But I get a discomfort when I’m sitting down and during my sleep A weird like discomfort feeling wakes me up in the middle of the night and then I can’t go back to sleep .

These 4 medicines are common. So that's good. The anxiety is probably keeping you awake. Try not to think about it. be more positive.

I am afraid I cannot tell. But, it's for sure that you are carrier of H. pylori now and should focus all your energy in getting rid of it. Solve one problem at a time.
