Is my custom H. Pylori treatment regimen good enough?

Hello!

I have a confirmed H. Pylori infection (endoscopic biopsy) and I decided to get rid of it. But since I experienced terrible side effects from Azithromycin in the past, I decided to avoid Clarithromycin. I also don't want to take Metronidazole or Tetracycline as they also have pretty scary adverse effects from what I read. So I did some research and figured out I could try eradicating the infection with this regimen:

Rabeprazole 20 mg 2 times a day
De-nol (bismuth) 120 mg 4 times a day
Amoxicillin 1000 mg 2 times a day
All for 14 days

Sounds like it should work, although taking 2 grams of Amoxicillin still sounds pretty crazy to me (I'm so afraid of getting side effects). What do you think?

there is no data that shows this treatment work. So it wont be ethical to suggest you try. However, H. pylori cannot become resistant to two of these antibiotics. So.. it's up to you. if you fail, you can always repeat this treatment and one other antibiotic, eg. ciprofloxacin.
