Finger prick test accuracy?

How accurate are the finger prick tests for H pylori? I can buy the SELFCheck brand test here in the UK for about £10 or £15.

Since I don't have any severe symptoms, I'm a little reluctant to ask my doctor for a test. I have had CFS for many years and now tend to avoid visiting the doctor in case they think I'm a hypochondriac.

My main symptom is just very poor and slow digestion. I get a lot of burping, non-acidic reflux and much 'fermentation'. If I eat a meal with lots of slow digesting food I get overwhelming brain fog and a sort of discomfort in my head.

Thanks

i have never use a finger prick test before. But i would think theoretically, i would be as accurate as blood test. Nevertheless, if you pay slightly more, you can get a breath test for highest accuracy.

Blood test tells you the history of infection. Breath test tell you the current infection status.
