Hello Admin,

Please how effective is Amoxicillin injection and acid suppression for treating Hpylori. I have read studies that used it for 3 days even in cases of bleeding ulcers and it was effective to some degree.

using only the Amoxicillin and PPI is known as the dual therapy. in the early days when H. pylori was just discovered, dual therapy was shown with 50% cure rate. Hence the development of triple therapy with an additional antibiotic to boost the treatment to over 80%.

anyway, H. pylori will never get resistance to Amoxicillin. If that treatment fail, you can go back to triple therapy.

Amoxicillin injection is quite effective in treating bacterial infections but I am not much sure about H.pylori.
