What is the recovery time for a hernia surgery? My wife had her hernia surgery from Shouldice centre in Canada a year before. Now we wish to have a baby. I recently read an article on the possible complications of hernia during pregnancy(http://www.livestrong.com/article/21423 ... pregnancy/ ). I am worried if the hernia might reappear while she is pregnant. Is there any chances of her getting hernia again? Has anyone been through this? Please share.

My friend had this surgery done and the recovery time was about 1-2 weeks. You most likely can return to do light activity after 1-2 weeks. Hoping that you recover soon.
