I was tested positive for H pylori 2 weeks ago after having various symptoms that didn't up up until recently I've been having bad Acid reflux and IBS type symptoms went back to the doctor in which she found out i had H pylori. My biggest problem is with my stomach it feels like i have a chronic heaviness in my lower abdomen, or like a pressure feels like my stomach push's itself out my bowel also feels open so i have to constantly hold it in all the time. I went on a weeks course of antibiotics amoxicillin, metronidazole and omeprezole (1 a day). I felt a bit better when taking the medication its just that symptoms came back straight away after i finished my course my doctor said it was completely normal and that i should of been taking two omeprezole tablets a day and prescribed me a further 2 weeks taking this antacid 2 times a day. Im supposed to be going on holiday on the 3rd of October in a hot country for one week looking after myself, so in an act of desperation i completely eradicated my diet and started natural supplements within the past week. I've started taking Mastic gum 500mg 1 at night and 1 in the morning, probiotics Acidophilus (20 billion bacteria), L glutamine and GDL liquorice i also drink aloe juice. Diet wise I've completely cut wheat and gluten and cows dairy, sugar, saturated fats, refined grains, i try to eat plenty of lean protein chicken/fish/eggs and broccoli, kale, cabbage i eat gluten free bread and switched to goats cheese and goats milk also i eat plenty of fruit as a source of sugar. I've started having headaches is this because I've cut out gluten or could it be low blood sugar? Im continuing to take the omprezole for a further two weeks think it would be bad if i stop it now, my stomach is bearable but annoying my bowel movements are pretty good and clean but i still feel the discomfort in my abdomen could this still be inflammation? Is there anything else i could to help settle my stomach before i go on holiday I'm really desperate as i want to feel ok and not nauseous with the need to go to the bathroom anything i can take for temporary relief? I know this takes time but I'm desperate

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would suggest the same thing as your doctor. Just some H2 blockers to control your stomach symptoms to help you through the holiday. You can figure out if your treatment is successful when you come back from your holiday.
I am quite skeptical on the natural therapy. Nevertheless, some people do find changing diet helpful. So, it's unfortunate that you will have to experiment on yourself to find out the most appropriate diet for your symptoms.

It's ok its just gotten to the stage now that knowing that i have h pylori makes me paranoid and my anxiety gets even worse i dont even know what to eat anymore, whether to keep eating gluten free or to revert back to my normal diet I'm just so depressed, i want sugar and fat to give me comfort but i know it won't make me better i the long run I'm currently taking silicol gel for my IBS type symptoms hopefully it will calm down i got this horrible burning/itching sensation in my lower rectal region its horrible could it be side effect from the antibiotics?

I'm pretty sure I still have it too after my second round of treatment. I have an appt October 13th to test for it. The way I see it, I've probably had this my whole life, and its deciding to mess with me now. So now I'm doing the natural way to ease symptoms and build my immune system in hopes that it will lie dormant again one day. If 16 days of quadruple therapy on antibiotics I have never taken before didnt knock it out, then I'm done poisoning my body with antibiotics. That's whats helped me with my anxiety tho cus I had it really bad knowing that it's in there...but then I think "it's been in there my whole life, so why freak out". That alone helps a bit.

yea... stay positive is the key. no point "freaking out". Anxiety plays an important role in digestive system. Just not proven yet. But we all know when we are super nervous, we sometimes get stomach pain.
anyway, there is no need for extra anticipated stress. Let's wait till you do your breath test on the 13th of Oct and see what's the result.
