Since many people live in harmony with h pylori with no issues, is it possible that, once infected, we can use natural remedies to NOT eradicate the bacteria...but to live in harmony with it again? Or will it always cause issues?

It is absolutely possible. I like to believe it was once a good bacteria in our body. However, knowing that many people lives happily without it, why would you risk getting ulcer or cancer?

Got the results of my breath and stool test. Both positive. I'm devastated. Doc put me on quadruple therapy flagyl, tetracycline, bismuth, and omeprazole. I'm just terrified of what these drugs will do to me.

dont have to be disappointed. Look at the bright side, there is still hope. it's only a matter of time.

This new quadruple therapy is a good one. I think you should experience little side effect.

I'm doing as follows
prilosec
prilosec

8am- 1 x 500mg tetracycline and 1 x 250 flagyl

10am- 500mg pepto

12pm -500 mg pepto

4pm 1x 500 mg tetracycline and 1x 250mg flagyl

6pm 500mg pepto

7pm prilosec

it looks ok, except that the dosage of the metronidazole is a bit lower than what we normally give. We normally give 400mg, 3 times a day. Some doctor even give 500mg, 3 or 4 times a day.
