Hi all,

I have been diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori and been prescribed a seven day course Nexium HP7, plus a one month supply of Nexium 40mg to take daily.

I have just finished the first 7 day course. I have heard from friends that after treatment I should begin adding probiotics into my diet such as Yakult and Inner Health Plus (sold in Australia).

I'm wondering when it would be best to start the probiotics, now than i've finished the 7 day course, or after the next month when I have finished the Nexium 40mg .

Hi, there is no guideline when you should start the probiotic. It's not in the standard treatment. So, you can start anytime from now.

Nevertheless, did you experience any diarrhea or any side effects during the HP7 treatment?

the probiotics are meant to calm the awful side effects. Your side effects should be gone by now. but if it hasnt, maybe it's a good time to start probiotics.

I started taking probiotics after my 7 days... I take one Complete 30 billion pro biotic pill every evening + 1-2 servings of greek yogurt during the day
+ 1 serving of kiefer milk -- ussually part of my morning Smoothy.

What symptoms are you feeling? I still had strong stomach pain and bloating for about 1 month after i finished the HP PAC.
2 months later most of my stomach pains were gone.. I still try to follow a very clean diet....
Im still fighting chest pains that started in Feb. during my worst month of my life... Doc think its anxiety.. but who knows?

do you know if your H. pylori has been eradicated?

nope, as per my other post. i was POS for breath test.
last couple days since i got the bad news... i have had bloating and some light pains under the rib... havent had any of that for over a month.
Either my mind is messing with me or my stomach telling me something..
