Hi all, maybe somene had simmilar problem and any advice is appreciated:
it all started back in January when I ate something bad probably,I had minor flew and took some medicine called tylolhot which is combination of paracetamole, and 2 other ingredients but very acidic. That night I had to vomit (it was yellow).and my sister got sick too with vomit but compared to me,she had diarrea for 2 days. After that in few days I got sick really bad, felt anxious, exhausted, had like burning pain in my stomach, and ate really bad, apetite was low.I started taking PPI (prescribed by my local doctor) but didn't felt any better except that I didn't vomit anymore.Same week I went to gastroenterologist who did endoscopy on my stomach (and did take 2 samples ,from antrum and corpus for biopsy for HP).He told me that my mucosa has an errosion and on antrum very hipereremic, with edems and he did quick HP ureasa test with those samples.the liquid should turn red but even after a day it remained yellow, but he told me like it's red and prescribed me triple therapy for 10 days (amox+claritro+pantoprasole),which I took 8 days with probiotics combined..The problem was probably false negative result because I took pantoprasole before endoscopy ( I didn't know he will do endoscopy on me).He wrote dygnosis: gastritis acuta with HP,and hernia haiti oesophagei.
By the time I was taking therapy I felt really sick, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, felt nausea, exhausted and I ended therapy after 8 days. After therapy he prescrbied me to take pantoprasole 20 mg once daily in the morning, which I still take after 2 months. But nowdays my problems still remain. The endoscopy was on 7.2.2015,I finished therapy with antibiotics on 15.2. but I can't do breath test because no lab here in my country does one.The symptoms now I have is constant eructation while I eat and 1.5-2 h after a meal. The eructation are mainly before noon,no matter what I eat,and in the evening I get mild nausea.I don't have pain in my stomach, but I feel anxious a lot and exhausted,I wake up early in dawn too, with big hunger. There are some days like I can eat a lot and some days with very bad apetite. The hernia he told me I have is like 2cm only, and now I'm not sure what causes these symptoms hernia or HP uncured infection. The problem is there is a lot of food which makes my symptoms worse, and I only eat like combination of same food per week, avoid sugar, fatty food,etc...but I still feel sick, and don't know what to do anymore.I went to my local doctor, she told me it's all in my head, and that I make up those symptoms, and that HP infection is cured. From the day I took AB I lost around 16 pounds, and I am very skinny now,I'm 6 feet 4 inches with only 69 kg now.I eat bad like 3 meals per day, when I was healthy I could eat everything,5 meals per day and a lot of sugar.
All my blood test are great, liver pancreas, everything good.
So now I don't know what to do anymore, how to get rid of the eructation, which forces me to do so,and nausea before a meal in the evenings?I still take pantoprasole, these 2 days I tried to switch to lansoprasole, but I don't feel any better then before therapy except I feel with a bit more energy then back in those days.I have like mild pain above chest bone specially when I squeeze it and like itchy pain which lasts few seconds under my last left rib.Should I do breath test in other country, stop using pantoprasole and see what would happen...or smth else...any advice is appreciated.Sorry for my bad english I'm from east.Europe,I hope you understood everything I wrote..

i think you need to first confirm your HP has been successfully eradicated. You'll need to do a follow up breath test or stool test. Unfortunately, you'll need to stop PPI for at least a month before the test, or else you'll get false negative again.

To control your reflux while waiting for the breath test, you may take some milder drugs to control your acid. Please refer the following guideline.

1.Could I do a blood test for IgG and EIA,and tell me the reason why not?In my city they only do blood test, but I read somewhere that even antibodies in blood can give false positive result, correct me If I am wrong but I really need to know if I need to do breath test or blood test?

1.I was told by local lab that 2 weeks is enough to stop with PPI,one month with AB therapy.
2.Under a list of medication I see that ranitidine is only not allowed wihen testing.Could I use ranitidine if I get worse symptoms like burning in my stomach instead of pantoprasole because I thought to do breath test?

I dont think there is a problem replacing pantoprazole with ranitidine. however, please check with your doctor first. he knows you better than any of us.

I didn't mean to offend you,I respect your knowledge about this bacteria here.
My doctor doesn't have a clue which analysis to take for re-test,I was told by her that bacteria is normal in stomach and almost every person has it.
I contacted lab in other country about PPI,and was told what I mentioned above.
Dear Helico_expert could you just tell me,can I do EISA blood test on IgG and IgM,it's the only test they do in my city, and that way know do I still have that bacteria and need to cure it,or strictly stool and breath test?
I tried today without lansoprazole but got burning in my chest first time,so I took lansoprazole, that way I can't do breath test until symptoms go away.I will try lansoprazole for 14 days.
My symptoms are the same, driving me crazy every day,so I appreciate your effort.Thank you in advance.

unfortunately breath and stool tests are the only test to find out if your H. pylori has been eradicated. You can assume it has been eradicated and try control your reflux with either PPI or ranitidine.

another way to find out is by histology. But you'll need to book yourself an appointment for specialist.

Sadly no such tests are done in my country.I'd need to travel to next country and do that.I'll continue to take lansoprazole for like 13 days and then wait for 15 more days to do breath test,if that is ok,and not too late after threatment with abiotics.
I did blood test today,if it's OK for you,I'll msessage you results tommorow,if IgG and IgA antibodies mean something to me.

I wont be surprise if your IgG or IgA comes back positive. I'll be surprise if they are negative though. Blood test is never the choice to determine if you are still infected with H. pylori.

IgA=0.2 and my IgG=4 ,which means both are negative though.
Does this mean I don't have HP anymore?I'm still on PPI.
