I am 32 years old male diagnosed with h pylori for the 2nd time 4 months ago. First time 5 years ago and I got rid it with no issues. This time it took two courses of antibiotics to get rid it. I finished the 2nd course two months ago. My symptoms are much better however since the discovery of h pylori my anxiety is through the roof and it is impacting me a lot. I still manage my life and provide for my family but it is way harder. I don’t feel energetic as I used to. It is much better now since I improved my diet, cut sugar, caffeine, and I try to relax. It is still bothering me a lot. I used to be healthy active fun guy. I never had any problem with anxiety or depression during my life. I feel my life got hijacked. My GP noted that I have anxiety after few visits to the ER and urgent care. He would like to start me on medication. I don’t want to take meds. Now he thinks everything I go through is related to anxiety.

One more thing that came during that time is extreme dry eyes and eyes fatigue. Not sure if it is related but it came up during this period and it adds to my anxiety.

Any ideas if the anxiety will go away on its own? Did anyone go through this before? Any help is appreciated
Thanks

I am not an expert of anxiety. I think you'll need to speak to a counselor. Identify the source of your anxiety. I myself see my own anxiety as challenges. I always tell myself that if I can conquer the challenge, I'll grow mentally stronger. After all, it's not the end of the world, just think positively and be optimistic.
